Logistics Inventory Specialist Mobis US Alabama 6600 Jefferson Metro Pkwy, McCalla, AL 35111 The Logistics Inventory Specialist oversees various aspects of in-house logistics, including daily inventory cycle counting, verification of high rack handling units, and problem-solving. Additionally, they play a crucial role in managing inbound/in-house logistics (transportation, packaging), logistics costs and systems within the plant, and initiatives for cost reduction. Essential Functions (To excel in this role, the incumbent must be able to effectively fulfill each essential duty. Other responsibilities may be assigned.) Inventory Management Ensure high rack accuracy of handling units, comparing SAP data with actual figures (location, parts, quantity, FIFO dates). Conduct daily inventory cycle counts as needed. Analyze cycle counting results and report findings to management. Regularly check stock levels and compare planned versus actual figures, communicating with purchasing team members. Maintain proper FIFO protocols. Ensure all inventory hold locations are accurately assigned and visually marked (labels, locations). Confirm adequate stock levels of parts in the warehouse to support production lines. In-house Logistics Oversee the management of return packages. Report daily activities, problems, and solutions. Participate in 3R and 5S activities. Assist with the procurement of general supplies for logistics (obtaining quotes, approvals, reporting, and invoice processing). Support the posting of transportation/logistics equipment invoices. Assist in designing the logistics layout for the MUA plant (area allocation, stock levels, location, logistics flow, feeding). Conduct low-level analysis of inventory issues and engage in problem-solving. Report daily activities, problems, and solutions. Adhere to all safety regulations pertaining to the warehouse and production floor. Supervisory Responsibilities None Basic Qualifications (The requirements below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this position.) Required Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree Three (3) years of relevant professional experience in a logistics, warehousing, or supply chain management environment, preferably within the automotive or related manufacturing sectors. Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Strong sense of responsibility Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in SAP and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Preferred Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or industrial systems engineering Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations None Working Conditions Office setting with some walking in production areas and external warehouses. Weekend overtime may be required to support inventory audits as needed. Availability to work late hours when necessary to achieve objectives.

$55,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
