The successful candidate will be responsible for providing overall direction and serve as the main point of contact for a recent, very large contract. This position requires someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and well-versed in all aspects of inventory control. Another essential function for the successful candidate will provide support to the manufacturing team on ensuring the program deliverables are consistently met, as well as maintain adequate levels of stock to meet demands while minimizing excess supply. Responsibilities Analyzes and oversees the organizations supply chain and the life cycle of assigned products and services from acquisition through distribution, delivery, and when necessary, discontinuation. Communicates with customers and support staff to understand customers’ needs and ensure those needs are met. Provide the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of inventory management ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals for the program Monitors and maintains current inventory levels, processes purchase orders as required Tracks all orders and investigates problems Maintains updated and accurate records of inventory, purchases within our current database Ensures traceability and conformance is met on incoming inventory items Performs physical count of inventory, cycle counts, and transfers Reconciles actual stock counts to database-generated reports Coordinates availability and allocation of raw materials, supplies, and finished products Works closely with vendors and suppliers to nurture positive relationships to ensure positive customer service Prepares reports and presents project plans, progress, and results Oversees shipping and receiving functions on customer deliverables Facilitate upcoming implementation of a new inventory management system within 6-12 months (AIM, formerly known as Flowtrac) Implements plan, schedule, and compliance metrics for the manufacturing team Identifies opportunities to reduce costs, production time, and other areas lacking efficiency and recommends improvements Performs other inventory, logistical, and procurement-related duties, as required Required Qualifications Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or related field with 1-3 years’ work experience Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work proficiently Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel) Proficiency in English (written and spoken) Must be U.S. citizen Must currently possess or be able to receive Department of Defense Secret clearance Preferred Qualifications Background in aviation airframe modifications and/or aerospace industry is strongly preferred Unanet experience is strongly preferred Inventory systems experience is strongly preferred DoD or Military experience is preferred FMS Aerospace Company Profile We are a growing, flexible, customer-driven aircraft structural engineering and flight test company with manufacturing capability.
