Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Receipt, recording in local log and electronically to the sponsor of all investigational agents. Recording of temp tails to determine temperature excursion. Electronic recording and assessment of ambient, refrigerator, and freezer temperatures on a daily basis and to communicate to the sponsor any temperature excursions as well as corrective actions. Review of IP stock to determine expiry dates and to work with other staff members for drug destruction or return of the expired IP Monthly review of local drug logs to ensure inventory has been correctly logged out for dispensation and that there are no mathematical errors Attend site initiation visits and review manuals to ensure IP is handled correctly and is accurately logged. The attendance at SIV is essential for the laboratory and imaging responsibilities Review patient visit list to determine if central laboratory specimens should be collected at each visit. This is performed in collaboration with the study coordinator or Research administration. Process laboratory specimens to be sent to a central laboratory and order/process tissue specimens required by the sponsor. An inventory of kits is required to perform these tasks. Inventory and monitoring supplies that are required for correct packaging such as dry ice. Obtain CDs of radiologic tests required by the sponsor and electronically send to the sponsor’s vendor Work with the coordinators to ensure tumor tables are sent with imaging orders to facilitate RECIST reading by the radiologist. Schedule appointments with external vendors (e.g. CRAs) and provide electronic access to appropriate databases. Assist clinical staff in ordering genomic testing. This requires familiarity with source documents that are required in the genomic test ordering Enter results of genomic data in OncoTrials database Provides support to other team members. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
