Pool Cleaning Technician trainee and work in swimming pool supply store 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars 950 North Courtenay Parkway, Merritt Island, FL 32953 We need someone to work in our retail swimming pool supply store and also train to be a back up to go out and clean swimming pools. Usually approximately 15 – 20 pools per day once a new route is built. Pay is $17.00 and hour in store to start and $11 per pool cleaned on a route. Most trained techs can clean at least 2 pools per hour. While training for pool cleaning pay is between $125 and $150 per day of training. In store you would be trained to do water testing, learn swimming pool chemical balance, help customers choose items to purchase and assist them to their cars with their items. Once on a pool route your duties are to brush, net, vacuum, clean tile, clean filters, clean salt cells and empty baskets. Must have valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able handle working in the summer heat or winter cold all day. Must be able to lift and carry minimum 50 lbs.
