Summary:

In this role, you will manage and order specialist supplies ensuring availability for surgical procedures. The position includes overseeing consignment inventory and bill-only supplies for accurate billing and tracking. You will manage and monitor frozen tissue storage, maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Perform rounding for Joint Commission readiness, manage the medication room and ECRI-related tasks. You will oversee supply operations and monitor ordering patterns, providing explanations for any supply-related variances. Analyze and justify budget variances related to surgical supplies and assist in maintaining financial targets. Supervise and monitor inventory coordinators and other staff for productivity, adherence to policies, and operational efficiency. Excel, Powerpoint and Word skills strongly desired. Ability to create reports and provide accurate data. Contributes clinical knowledge and value analysis to support supply chain activities and to optimize clinical product selection, evaluation, use and implementation.

Responsibilities:

Develops, implements, and monitors a value analysis process to ensure the appropriate and efficient use of clinical products and to identify cost-savings and quality improvement opportunities. Collaborates on clinical product evaluation and selection processes. Solicits the input of medical staff and clinical leaders to achieve customer satisfaction with product selection and use.

Troubleshoots and oversees the repair and maintenance of equipment and instrumentation.

Serves as an initial point of contact regarding inventory, invoice, and vendor inquiries. Resolves issues within scope of authority or escalates issues to appropriate resourceReconciles case billing within epic, triggers charges and posts logs in accordance with hospital procedures.

Analyzes product data from a variety of sources and develops a classification schema. Develops rules to ensure the accurate classification and cross-referencing of products used.

Serves as a liaison between department, internal customers, and vendors to communicate and resolve issues, including product conversions, inventory control practices, contract management, and vendor support.
