Inventory Specialist Casa Pools Port Charlotte, FL 33953 INVENTORY/PRODUCT
ORDERING SPECIALIST
The inventory specialist orders, schedules, handles, sorts, and restocks inventory. Resolves issues of shortages, overages, and damaged product. Enters data into the inventory system. Completes inventory counts of products and adjusts inventory as needed. Coordinates with managers and accounting on inventory/billing issues. Assists with unloading trucks, updates inventory management system, completes tickets and bills of lading.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Researches and resolves shortages and overages found while doing inventory and those occurring outside of inventory time. Checks-in delivery trucks. Verifies PO, quantity, and quality, Unloads the trucks and signs delivery slips. Double-checks data entry of receiving history for price, quantities, and other discrepancies. Responsible for stocking, organization, removal of damaged products, etc. Assists coordinating with delivery drivers and warehouse buyers to resolve issues with products that are wrong, damaged, short, or over. Assists with ordering department supplies. Prints, organizes, and files daily purchase orders. Ensures proper housekeeping in assigned areas (e.g. sweeping, emptying garbage) Completes all other tasks assigned by Construction and Service Managers
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent education and/or related experience. Two (2) years of experience related to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Proficient in Microsoft office; Outlook, Excel, Word. Ability to effectively present information and respond professionally to questions from groups of managers, suppliers, or team members. Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations. Knowledge of warehousing policies and practices. Ability to operate trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Strong analytical skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Very heavy work: Occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The work also requires the following physical abilities in order to perform the essential job functions; balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity and walking.
