Keep Our Promises Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized Inventory Specialist to manage and track our plant inventory. This role is vital to maintaining accurate stock levels, supporting sales, and ensuring smooth nursery operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor incoming and outgoing plant stock to ensure accuracy and availability
- Perform regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Tag and label plants with correct information (variety, size, price, etc.)
- Input and update inventory data in software or tracking systems
- Work closely with operations and receiving teams to maintain proper stock levels
- Assist with receiving shipments and staging new stock
- Identify damaged or unsellable product and coordinate removal
- Support seasonal inventory transitions and plant relocations
- Generate inventory reports as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in inventory management, preferably in horticulture or retail
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in outdoor environments in various weather conditions
- Basic plant knowledge or willingness to learn plant identification
- Proficiency with inventory software or willingness to train
- Ability to lift 30-50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the day
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
