 Midway, FL Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Inventory Specialist for our Facilities Maintenance department. This position is responsible for issuing requests for purchases and leases as well as work as a member of a cross function team with other departments and our suppliers including Project Management, Maintenance, and Implementation Team. This position will be responsible for monitoring all equipment orders to ensure all quoted lead times stay on schedule and you will report any issues or delays that will have an impact on operations timelines. As a qualified candidate you will be an integral part of the day-to-day operations and launch of new facilities. Key Responsibilities Assist with facility projects both in state and nationally.
Provide support to the ordering process to ensure equipment and services are ordered timely and accurately. Order processing will comprise about 50% of this role.
Requisition equipment, supplies, and any request to support the team.
Provide weekly reports on order statuses for each project.
Set up new supplier and vendor accounts in our CRM system, SAP
Regularly follow up on orders with vendors and interface with business partners.
Track parts requests through CMMS program eMaint.
Maintain critical parts inventory to decrease equipment down time. Assist with the day-to-day activities of the department.
Communicate all identified problems to management. Qualifications 2 years’ experience in an operations, procurement, or project support role.
Experience with Centrix, SAP, or similar CRM system is preferred.
Must have initiative, be self-motivated and self-directed.
Must be experienced with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook specifically).
Familiarity with a cGMP-controlled environment and compliance requirements is a bonus. Physical Requirements Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater) Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise) Salary will be commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
