PURPOSE:
The Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining a high level of accuracy and will coordinate with multiple work groups to ensure efficient and effective product movement. This position will report to the Logistics Manager.
KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive and coordinate activities around monthly bulk fluid tank cycle counts Coordinate intercompany and interplant transfers Verify incoming inventory and put away in home locations Process systematically inside of SAP Bulk sales orders going to customers Plan, participate and delegate daily cycle counts as required on a daily basis in the Porter warehouse based on the Standards set forth by the company. Reconciling variances in the count so SAP and the warehouse are in sync. Re-classing materials and batches as needed. Working with Shipping, Receiving, Production and other departments, perform root cause analysis to determine origin of discrepancy as well as recommend and implement solutions to reduce future discrepancies. Execute and track KPI’s so you can manage and achieve our main deliverable of Data Integrity. Maintain a good working relationship with all Departments that impact Inventory and ensure that they understand what and how their actions impact Inventory throughout the Supply Chain organization Assist the Logistics Manager with the planning and execution of the annual Physical Inventory as well as the Strategy and Tactics for both the Plant and the Warehouse in Humble. Manage any personnel and processes for the warehouse to ensure that all KPI’s are being met and determine any root causes of problems. Communicate any issues to the Logistics Manager that will adversely affect Customer Service. Additional duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES
High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree/equivalent or 2 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
COMPETENCIES
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Proficiency in JDE, SAP, or other ERP system (SAP preferred) Proficiency in MRP Must have working knowledge of customer service practices and problem-solving skills Good written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy Self-motivated and detailed-oriented Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively work with individuals both inside and outside the company Fosters positive work relationships and is a solid team player Able to complete projects in a timely manner and get results Supports the strategic and operational direction of the business Demonstration of Calumet Values – Safety, Environment & Social Responsibility, Teamwork, Ownership, Passion for Customers, and Excellence Salary and benefits commensurate with experience.
