Job Description
Inventory & Point of Sale Specialist PolyMagic Concrete Slab Leveling and Floor Coatings 951 Locust Hill Cir, Belton, MO 64012 Hammer Down Distribution is a small, specialized distribution company focused on providing high-quality foundation repair products and concrete floor coatings to our customers. We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable individual to manage our inventory and handle point-of-sale operations. Job Summary The Inventory & Point of Sale Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records using SOS Inventory integrated with QuickBooks, as well as performing all point-of-sale duties for customer transactions. This role is critical to ensuring efficient operations and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities :
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory counts of all foundation repair products and concrete floor coatings within SOS Inventory.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Process incoming shipments, including receiving, inspecting, and stocking products.
- Prepare outgoing shipments and ensure proper documentation.
- Monitor stock levels and identify reorder points to prevent stockouts.
- Generate inventory reports as needed.
- Collaborate with suppliers and purchasing to ensure timely product availability. Point of Sale (POS) Operations
- Process customer orders and transactions accurately using QuickBooks POS.
- Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods.
- Generate invoices and sales receipts.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering product questions and assisting with selections.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales area.
- Resolve customer issues and escalate as necessary. System Integration
- Ensure seamless data flow and accuracy between SOS Inventory and QuickBooks.
- Troubleshoot any integration issues that may arise. General Duties
- Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Maintain a professional and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Qualifications
- Proven experience with inventory management, preferably in a distribution or retail environment.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and experience with point-of-sale systems.
- Experience with SOS Inventory software is highly preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills and ability to handle financial transactions accurately.
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
- Knowledge of foundation repair products or concrete floor coatings is a plus but not required. Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move products weighing up to 25lbs occasionally. More importantly manage team members to do the heavy lifting.
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.

$50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
