Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Work is normally accomplished within a supply office and supply distribution points with the majority of time utilizing the automed inventory system for inventory management, processing orders, distributing supplies, conducting physical inventories in the warehouse and various supply points. Responsible for the storage and distribution of supplies to both primary and secondary inventory points, as well as within the bulk supply areas. This may include movement of stock to assist in counting, storing, roting, and retrieving items from shelves and cabinets. Physical exertions and demands include standing, walking, bending, stretching, reaching, and pushing/pulling supply carts and lifting supplies up to 50 pounds are required. Works primarily in a supply office and supply distribution points th support the Storage and Distribution of supplies. Multiple interruptions are experience throughout the day resulting from telephone and personal contacts with individuals requiring informion, guidance, or problem solving. Protective and special clothing is worn to prevent exposure to dangerous merials; hair covers, shoe covers, and gloves are worn as required when delivering supplies into clean/sterile areas and managing verificion of inventory stock levels within the primaries. Physical dispersion of the facility may make it necessary to make deliveries over uneven terrain and/or in adverse weher conditions.
