The Budtender plays a crucial role in educating patients about cannabis products, guiding them in their purchasing decisions, and providing an exceptional customer experience. As a Budtender, you are responsible for ensuring that customers are compliant with state regulations and that the products provided meet their individual needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Educating customers about cannabis products, including effects, dosage, and methods of consumption. Assisting patients with product selection based on their medical needs and preferences. Operating the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions accurately and efficiently. Verifying patient eligibility, checking medical cannabis ID cards, and ensuring compliance with state laws. Maintaining knowledge of strains, products, and industry trends to provide expert recommendations. Restocking shelves and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store. Collaborating with the team to meet daily sales goals and deliver an exceptional shopping experience. Ensuring all products are properly labeled and that packaging complies with regulations. Performing other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or Retail Store leadership team.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
In-depth knowledge of medical cannabis products and state regulations. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems and cash-handling procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of cannabis products and their effects is an asset but not required (training provided). Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must be able to obtain a Medical Cannabis Work Permit through the Mississippi Department of Health.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to stand for extended periods. Ability to bend, lift, and move product weighing up to 30 pounds. Operate standard office equipment (computers, phones, copier, etc.).
