Job Summary The Inventory Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing inventory levels to ensure efficient operations within the supply chain. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, analyzing stock levels, and collaborating with various departments to support materials management and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory control processes and possess analytical skills to enhance operational efficiency. This position is responsible for processing and fulfilling house stock medication orders, managing Emergency Drug Kits (EDKs), overseeing inventory, and supporting pharmacy packaging efforts. Duties Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels Process and fill house stock medication orders accurately and efficiently. Maintain and update Emergency Drug Kits contents in compliance with guidelines. Conduct regular stock audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with company standards. Utilize analytics to forecast demand and optimize stock replenishment strategies. Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to streamline inventory management processes. Implement materials handling best practices to improve efficiency in the supply chain. Prepare reports on inventory performance metrics for management review. Manage drug recall documentation using the RASMAS system. Notify appropriate personnel about shortages, recalls, and supply chain concerns. Skills Strong understanding of inventory control practices and principles. Proficiency in analytics tools for data analysis and reporting. Experience with supply chain management and materials handling techniques. Knowledge of financial modeling and financial analysis related to inventory. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively. This position is essential for ensuring that our organization operates smoothly, maintaining the balance between supply and demand while minimizing costs associated with excess inventory or stock outs.
