Neil Medical Group, a closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy, is expanding its Technician team! We are seeking focused and motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced team environment.

Position Summary:

The Pharmacy Inventory and Purchasing Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our pharmacy. This position is responsible for processing and fulfilling house stock medication orders, managing Emergency Drug Kits (EDKs), overseeing inventory, and supporting pharmacy packaging efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
Order Fulfillment & Inventory Management:

Process and fill house stock medication orders accurately and efficiently. Maintain inventory records and signature logs for stock requests. Assist with inventory processes. Emergency Drug Kits (EDKs): Replenish and replace medications in EDKs as required. Maintain and update EDK contents in compliance with guidelines.

Medication Packaging & Supply Coordination:

Assist pharmacy technicians with medication packaging as needed. Maintain and distribute necessary forms and supplies to facilities, including start-up needs. Prepare and transmit wholesale orders daily. Collaborate with the Pharmacy Operations Manager on purchasing and restocking decisions. Resolve inventory issues, including backorders and shortages, using local and secondary sources.

Returns & Billing:

Process medication returns for credit from distributors and manufacturers. Track pharmacy employee charge slips and coordinate with billing. Maintain IV pump logs and submit related charges monthly. Coordinate the cleaning and maintenance of returned IV pumps.

Records & Communication:

Manage drug recall documentation using the RASMAS system. Notify appropriate personnel about shortages, recalls, and supply chain concerns. Print and distribute medication administration records (MARs) and treatment forms as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; pharmacy technician certification is a plus. Prior experience in a pharmacy or inventory-related role is preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy software systems.
