Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory & Label Compliance Specialist to manage inventory accuracy, ensure proper labeling practices, and support regulatory compliance within our food manufacturing facility. This role is critical to maintaining product integrity and meeting regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in purchasing and labeling, with preferred knowledge of USDA and SQF guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment. Oversee and verify labeling processes to ensure all products meet federal, state, and customer-specific regulations. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance and Compliance teams to uphold USDA and SQF standards. Assist with audits, document control, and traceability systems related to inventory and labeling. Work with vendors and internal departments to ensure labeling components (e.g., packaging, stickers) are accurate and approved before use. Identify and implement process improvements for inventory tracking and label control systems. Support regulatory submissions and compliance reporting as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
Experience in purchasing and labeling within a food manufacturing or related environment. Strong organizational and data entry skills. Familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems).
Preferred:
Experience working under USDA inspection and SQF certification programs. Knowledge of food labeling regulations (FDA, USDA, etc.). Knowledge of Genesis inventory tracking system.
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and related inventory systems.
