Position Summary:
The Inventory Control Coordinator will be directly responsible for duties including inventory and parts management, discrepancy resolution, inventory adjustment, receiving goods, and reporting. You will ensure that all the materials and supplies necessary for the efficient performance of company operations are in place.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for inventory management and database.
- Utilize inventory management system to organize, assess and maintain appropriate inventory levels of raw and finished goods.
- Issue re-order points for raw and finished goods.
- Coordinate and assist with inventory counts, spot counts and month end reconciliation. Research any variances and authorize appropriate inventory adjustments.
- Conduct physical searches to locate misclassified inventory.
- Responsible for all data-entry associated with inventory, including raw products for manufacturing, third party inbound and outbound, imports, and returned products.
- Order raw and finished materials to maintain stock through Purchasing Agent.
- Properly dispose of expired materials per company policies.
- Oversee wall-to-wall inventory.
- Receive goods in warehouse for accuracy and quality.
- Instruct warehouse members on the inventory system and proper location placement.
- Regularly review and maintain parts inventory reports.
- Ensure all parts are traceable and stocking levels are established.
- Process the transfer of materials between locations both systematically and physically to promote efficiency.
- Identify and resolve all issues related to product quality, delivery, utilization, and loss.
- Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school degree/GED required.
- Previous experience with inventory control in a manufacturing warehouse preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, BusinessWorks and inventory management software programs.
- Firm understanding of manufacturing production, materials and processes with a strong ability and desire to learn.
- A working knowledge of warehouse and manufacturing.
- Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments.
- Strong organization, negotiation, and documentation skills.
- Strong research, network, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with sound judgement and outstanding decision-making skills.
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines and the ability to work independently.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail.
- Physically able to conduct physical product inventories which involve standing, walking, bending, reaching and lifting.
