Inventory Control Specialist Gateway Tire Aiken Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts, and optimizing inventory processes. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to maintain efficient inventory management. Responsibilities Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability. Conduct regular audits of inventory to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies. Oversee shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Collaborate with suppliers for effective supplier management and materials handling. Utilize data analysis skills to forecast inventory needs and improve inventory turnover rates. Implement and maintain inventory control systems, including MRP (Material Requirements Planning). Support e-commerce operations by ensuring product availability aligns with demand. Perform heavy lifting as required for inventory organization and management. Assist in financial modeling related to inventory costs and performance metrics. Requirements Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role, preferably in a 3PL (Third Party Logistics) environment. Strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes. Excellent data analysis skills with proficiency in relevant software tools. Familiarity with materials handling practices and safety protocols. Ability to perform heavy lifting as necessary for the role. Knowledge of financial modeling techniques related to inventory management is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration across departments.
