Tool Control Coordinator

As a Tool Control Coordinator in our aerospace manufacturing environment, you will play a key role in managing the flow of tools, equipment, and supplies essential to our production operations. Your attention to detail, inventory control capabilities, and mechanical aptitude will ensure that tools are properly tracked, maintained, and readily available when needed. Key Responsibilities:

Maintain an accurate inventory of tools, equipment, and consumables within the warehouse/tool shop. Track tool usage, calibration schedules, and maintenance requirements in the tool control system. Issue, receive, and inspect tools to ensure they are in proper working condition and safe for use. Organize and maintain the tool storage area to ensure cleanliness, accessibility, and compliance with safety standards. Assist with tool repairs, minor maintenance, and coordination of external calibration or repair services. Identify and report missing, damaged, or worn-out tools and assist in procurement processes as needed. Support production teams by ensuring tools are readily available, properly tagged, and in good working order. Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain accurate records. Communicate effectively with production, maintenance, and purchasing teams to address tool needs and resolve issues. Follow all company policies and safety protocols to maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. 1-2 years of experience in a tool crib, warehouse, or similar inventory control environment preferred. Mechanical aptitude with basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and aerospace manufacturing processes. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift and move items up to [insert weight limit, e.g., 50 lbs.] as needed. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management systems (preferred). Team-oriented, reliable, and proactive. Ability to follow processes and contribute to continuous improvement.
