GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
In this challenging role, you will be supporting the HOS
- Housekeeping department at Greenville Technical College.
Duties may include any or all of the following. Using college vehicles and equipment, collect cardboard, plastic, metal and other recycling items and debris from college facilities. Deliver items to custodial warehouse for in-house processing and/or to material recovery facilities for further processing. Record weight of collected recycling items and input into department spreadsheets and issue a report as requested by supervisor. Contact recycling vendors, as needed, to arrange for pick up of bulk recycling items and containers. Assist building supervisors with building cleaning assignments. Job tasks may include but are not limited to cleaning restrooms, cleaning classrooms and/or labs, stairs, and hallways; job tasks may also include using a mechanical scrubber. Organize and bale old corrugated cardboard (OCC) using college recycling equipment. Unload delivery trucks using forklift. Load department supplies from main receiving building and deliver to custodial warehouse. Conduct daily forklift inspection. Stock custodial supply rooms keeping rooms in an orderly manner. Maintain custodial warehouse in a clean and organized manner. Maintain clear pathways throughout warehouse and outside area in and around custodial warehouse. Enusre warehouse floor is free of debris and cleaned on a regular basis. Load and secure using college vehicles ,departmental equipment and deliver equipment as assigned to college facilities, campuses and repair facilities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A high school diploma.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
