The Inventory Specialist’s key objective is to assist the Inventory Team with day-to-day monitoring of PMS for inventory and reservation related issues.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Monitors PMS for reservation placement (room assignments) to ensure proper utilization
Point of contact for resort staff for issues related to reservations including – inventory allocations, overbookings, out of order rooms, any other questions related to inventory/reservations
Work with Resort Staff to identify operational best practices and desirable maintenance timeframes
Oversee Inventory usage assuring that it is properly utilized
Handle all emergency out of service requests which may include reservation relocations
Provide as needed inventory assistance to marketing, member services, and other sales channels to maximize inventory utilization
Enters and monitors inbound Exchange activity and various Ownership Club’s inbounds for assigned resorts
Communicate with owners on an as needed basis
Willing to be cross trained in all aspects of the department to assist where needed
All other duties as requested
Job Requirements
Education, Essential Training /
Certifications and Experience:
High School Diploma/GED
1-2 Years Hotel/ Resort Operations or Timeshare experience preferred
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
High level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel is required
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects is required
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Technically savvy, able to pickup and maneuver through several different systems
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to work with a high level of professionalism
Flexible schedule, ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays when needed
