Job Description Inventory Specialist Direct Customer Solutions, LLC Classification Hourly Reports to Quality and Compliance Manager ______________________________________________________________________
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective This individual will be checking inventory accuracy within the Direct Customer Solutions facility, covering multiple customers. Will investigate variances in product count and cycle counts in various bulk (floor level) and Rack (up to 4th level) locations upon missed picks. Must understand the base line operations to follow product flows and picking patterns. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Primary responsibility for the execution of the following activities on a daily basis at Direct Customer Solutions including, but not limited to: Responsible for overseeing and monitoring inventory tracking. Reconciles discrepancies in inventories. May train other company personnel on the Inventory Process. Meet KPI standards set by management without damage to product. Cycle count various locations daily throughout warehouse. Use PC or RF terminal to access WMS system Monitor Warehouse utilization. Control and coordinate Field Corrective actions and local holds as needed. Audit daily exceptions reports. Transports material by operating various types of Material Handling equipment Process and stage damaged product in accordance with SOP’s. Competencies PC Skills (Microsoft Word, Microsoft, Excel Counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication & division with the assistance of a calculator. Ability to Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Excellent attention to detail. Must have good telephone communication skills to interact with product vendor locations. Must be able to work without direct supervision. Ability to read, speak, and comprehend English. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices. General knowledge of material flow and distribution processes. Ability to work overtime as necessary. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibility Work Environment This job operates in a climate-controlled warehouse setting. This role routinely uses material handling and packaging equipment, computers, handheld scanners, etc. Must be able to sit, stand, walk for 8 hours per day. Must be able to lift repetitively lift up to 50 lbs Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday during day shift hours. Evening and weekend overtime work may be required as job duties demand. Travel Limited travel may be required for training activities.
Requirements:
Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent; some post high school education is preferred. At least 3 years of warehouse experience.
