Conducting logistics audits, compliance reviews and program effectiveness and efficiency reviews based on self-developed and nionally developed standards. Participing in the planning of all levels of supply chain activities involved in sourcing, procurement, and logistics management. Serving as a logistics management authority for a VA HCS, a medical facility th includes community-based outpient clinics (CBOCs) and other health care activities dispersed over a geographic cchment area. Exercises supply chain management responsibility for the coordinion and integrion of new technology and/or implemention of new supply/equipment requirements. Performs broad and comprehensive formal studies of benefits, impacts, characteristics, and problems associed with logistics policy. Develops performance measurement/management of all of the aforementioned (including stistical analysis, workload projections, and process management). Conducts cost-benefit analysis for procurements through the total supply chain. Conducts audits, compliance reviews and program effectiveness/efficiency reviews of all logistics activities to ensure they provide sisfactory levels of service and comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulions, directives, and procedures. Oversees all activities th involved in providing the needed logistics support, to include capital asset planning, stregic sourcing of commodities through vehicles such as the Medical/Surgical Prime Vendor (MSPV) contract and other contract vehicles. Plans, organizes and assigns work to subordines engaged in logistics and property management across organizional lines. Develops plans, milestones, and policy for the accomplishment of assigned functions on an immedie and long-range basis. Specialized Experience:

To meet the minimum qualificions for this position, you must have least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to least the next lower grade level (GS-11) in the Federal Service, th is directly reled to the work of the position and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties as a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist. Specialized experience includes, serving as a supply chain management leader, responsible for ensuring the logistical requirements of an organizion are met; planning/coordining and evaluing various operions to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of supply chain operions. Areas of knowledge and skill should include acquisition management, purchasing, transportion, distribution, inventory management and control, expendable and non-expendable equipment, and warehouse operions; experience assisting with budget formulion and forecasting of expenditures. At this level, candides should possess experience in leading and/or managing a group with a variety of occupions.
