Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

: The Inventory Control Specialist is a person who is detail-oriented and organized to support our manufacturing operations. This role is critical in maintaining accurate inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods. The ideal candidate will work closely with production, procurement, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless inventory flow, minimize downtime, and optimize resource availability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

SKILL LEVEL REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, or supply chain environment. Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain accurate inventory records of raw materials, WIP (work-in-progress), and finished goods. Coordinate with production planners to ensure timely availability of materials for manufacturing schedules. Perform cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies, with an emphasis on supporting lean manufacturing practices. Collaborate with procurement and production teams to avoid stockouts or overstock of critical materials. Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to meet quality and safety standards. Generate inventory and production usage reports for management review. Assist in implementing other inventory control strategies specific to manufacturing. Support traceability and compliance for inventory related to industry and customer-specific regulations. Identify and recommend improvements to inventory processes to increase efficiency and accuracy. Participate in audits and support documentation required for regulatory and quality compliance (e.g., ISO, FDA, etc.).

OTHER SKILLS

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
