Weekends Off Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Materials Handler II with expertise in AS9100 , the aerospace industry’s quality management system standard. This individual will be responsible for the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, with an emphasis on AS9100 compliance , inventory accuracy , and Oracle ERP system proficiency . The role primarily supports the receiving department , with secondary support in shipping and inventory functions. This position plays a critical role in maintaining material flow , data integrity , and compliance with aerospace standards , and requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and an understanding of industry-specific regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive incoming materials, verify contents against documentation, and inspect for quality and accuracy. Identify, label, and store materials in compliance with AS9100 and company standards. Perform regular inventory audits, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain accurate stock records. Use correct storage techniques to preserve and protect materials, including environmental handling. Support shipping and packaging functions as needed.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

Maintain detailed and accurate records of all material transactions including serial numbers, lot tracking, and quantities. Create and maintain packing lists, bills of lading, and inventory reports. Ensure documentation is accurate, timely, and fully compliant with AS9100 standards. AS9100

Compliance:

Demonstrate working knowledge of AS9100 quality management system requirements. Ensure all material handling processes meet or exceed compliance standards. Support internal and external audits with complete and accurate records. Collaborate on corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives related to non-conformance issues.

Team Collaboration:

Coordinate with procurement, production, and quality assurance to ensure timely material availability. Communicate inventory levels, shortages, and delivery schedules clearly to internal stakeholders. Respond to material requests and maintain proper material flow across departments.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or certifications preferred). AS9100 certification is required. 2+ years of experience in a materials handling role, preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industry . Strong knowledge and practical experience with AS9100 requirements . Proficient in Oracle ERP systems for inventory and materials management. Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to lift/move materials and operate material handling equipment safely. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Familiarity with Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
