Operations Supervisor SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for operating forklift and maintaining production and distribution of product by receiving and/or pulling product from inventory stored within the warehouse; staging/loading finished goods for shipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles including forklift. Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulls material; packs boxes; place orders in designated delivery area. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to organizational standards. Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, recording quantity of product. Checks in merchandise and performs quality inspections on incoming and outgoing products. Prepares parcels (samples) for mailing. Remains compliance with all safety procedures and use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). Completes all job tasks in a timely fashion, prioritized to meet customer delivery expectations. Maintains a clean, safe working environment by keeping isles, staging area and workstations neat; sweep, dust and mop; organize warehouse and work area for orderliness. Assist in scheduled cycle & spot counts as needed. Assist in coaching new hires during the on-boarding process. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED, six months to one-year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates, licenses and registrations required: Fork-Lift Certificate. (Certification provided) Computer skills required: Time & Labor Management System; and Electronic Mail Software (Outlook).
Other skills required:
Solid Communication Skills (both verbal & written). Ability to read a tape measure. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication). Basic computer skills (Preferred). Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work closely with peers on team orientated goals. Ability to follow company directives and instruction.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Continually required to sit. Frequently required to stand and/or walk. Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl. Occasionally exposed to the following outside weather conditions: extreme heat and/or cold, wet and/or humid. While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually very loud. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used: Fork-Lift. 10:00am-6:30pm
