Dock Hand General Description:

Support position with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

• Open/Close marina store.
• Daily dock walks to report accountability for boats, slip availability and condition of docks and boats.
• Assist customers with docking and departures to include handling & tying lines.
• Customer service and assistance at the store counter and by phone.
• Cash register transactions to include daily batch-out.
• Fuel dock transactions.
• Summer slip requests.
• Light dock maintenance.
• Light cleaning of marina bathrooms as necessary, in-between regular janitor cleanings.
• Special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
• Assists other departments when necessary.

Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

Job Skill Requirements:

• Must be 18 or over with a valid driver’s license.
• Unlimited or unimpaired ability to walk, bend, climb, lift 25 lbs and work safely on a ladder or around water.
• Ability to work independently, with an eye for detail. Must be trustworthy and dependable with a solid work ethic and organizational skills.
• Experience with boats is a plus.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
