Dock Hand General Description:
Support position with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:
- Open/Close marina store.
- Daily dock walks to report accountability for boats, slip availability and condition of docks and boats.
- Assist customers with docking and departures to include handling & tying lines.
- Customer service and assistance at the store counter and by phone.
- Cash register transactions to include daily batch-out.
- Fuel dock transactions.
- Summer slip requests.
- Light dock maintenance.
- Light cleaning of marina bathrooms as necessary, in-between regular janitor cleanings.
- Special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
- Assists other departments when necessary.
Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
Job Skill Requirements:
- Must be 18 or over with a valid driver’s license.
- Unlimited or unimpaired ability to walk, bend, climb, lift 25 lbs and work safely on a ladder or around water.
- Ability to work independently, with an eye for detail. Must be trustworthy and dependable with a solid work ethic and organizational skills.
- Experience with boats is a plus.
