PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Safely maintain the physical railway track within a specific territory in accordance with guidelines set forth by the FRA and

CPKC. POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

Track maintenance and renewal work (working outdoors, in all weather conditions)
Use of hand tools and small machines, operating track renewal equipment
Standing, lifting, squatting for long periods and the ability to lift 50lbs or greater
Ability to travel

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Mechanical aptitude
Reliable transportation to and from work site, and a valid driver’s license
Ability to perform physically work outdoors in all types of weather
Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations, performing tasks in accordance with those rules
18 years of age or older
High School diploma or GED
CDL license or ability to obtaining one (CPKC will help cover the associated costs)
