Job Description
Seasonal Laborers Parks and Rec Dept City of Sanford 919 Main Street, Sanford, ME 04073 Seasonal Park Laborers – Parks and Rec Department The City of Sanford, Maine is currently accepting applications for part time and full time Seasonal Park Laborers. The position will be required to work 20 – 40 hours per week not to exceed 26 weeks of employment. This is a seasonal position. When the season ends, employment ends. This is work in the area of grounds maintenance, maintenance of athletic fields and repair of City facilities and buildings. Work will be performed under supervision at all times. The applicant must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, subordinates, city officials, and the general public. High School Graduation or a GED is required. Must have and maintain a valid State of Maine Class III/C operator’s license. Must possess the physical strength and ability to perform necessary duties pertaining to the job requirements. Must have a telephone in the home or must have immediate access to one. The full-time position is scheduled to work 5 days per week 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Part time hours will be determined upon hire. Work is assigned and primarily carried out from the Parks Supervisor or his designee. Work assignments will encompass all areas of the City of Sanford.
