Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipper/Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our distribution center, ensuring the efficient handling of products and materials in a fast-paced environment. This position involves various tasks related to shipping, receiving, and inventory management, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Accurately fulfill and prepare customer orders for shipment. Operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks and order pickers to move products safely and efficiently. Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control. Execute picking and packing duties to prepare orders for shipment, adhering to quality standards. Load and unload products from trucks or containers while maintaining safety protocols. Utilize MRP systems such as AS400 for tracking inventory levels and processing orders. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions. High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a distribution center or e-commerce setting is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse management systems, particularly AS400, is a plus. Experience with shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and loading/unloading operations is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong attention to detail. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced work environment.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to see color.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to work fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
