Job Description
Warehouse Assistant Stanly Community Christian Ministry 506 S 1st St, Albemarle, NC 28001 We are looking for a warehouse assistant to participate in our warehouse operations and activities. Warehouse worker responsibilities include storing food, picking, packing and organizing. The goal is to increase efficiency, organization and serve as many clients as possible. Responsibilities Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule Use company box truck to make routine pick-ups from grocery stores Receive and process warehouse products (receive, weigh and stock) Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization Complete daily logs into inventory Report any discrepancies Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations Assist and Check out clients that shop in our food pantry Position Requirements (Education & Experience) High School Diploma or GED equivalent Read and speak fluent English Ability to read and adhere to all policy and procedure manuals Clean Driving Record Office Focused Requirements Maintain Confidentiality Able to work quickly and accurately in a deadline driven environment Able to multi-task and organize large volumes of work Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision. Comfortable with technology, including smartphones, tablet computers and Windows-based operating systems Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic Solid organization skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at floor level or team lift, when appropriate or needed. Ability to push/pull receiving equipment weighing up to 500 lbs. such as rolling flats and pallet jacks. Ability to operate a computer and other electronic equipment Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to twist, bend and stoop to retrieve items from floor, shelves, racks and hooks and place items on floor, shelves, racks and hooks. Ability to work at a safe and steady pace.
