The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the flow of materials within our warehouse, ensuring that all products are handled efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to operate various types of equipment. The Material Handler will play a crucial role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting overall operational efficiency. Responsibilities Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock movements. Handle materials with care, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used for heavy lifting tasks. Utilize heavy equipment such as clamp trucks and pallet jacks to move products safely throughout the warehouse. Perform order picking duties, accurately selecting items for shipment based on customer orders. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any mechanical issues. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational processes. Experience Previous experience in materials handling or warehouse operations is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse management systems and RF scanners is a plus. Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, including clamp trucks and pallet jacks, is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required, demonstrating physical stamina and strength. Experience in order picking and inventory management will be beneficial for this role.
