POSITION

Solid Fuels Material Handler SUMMARY:

This position performs a variety of duties on a rotating shift, requiring the operation of mechanical and mobile equipment for the processing, sizing, conveying, moving and storing of waste materials.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sample incoming shipments of waste material. Unload incoming material for processing. Load outgoing material for off-site shipment. Communicate information between laboratory and regulatory management personnel. Blending different waste materials based on compatibility. Move waste materials by means of Bobcats, Loaders, and Scissor Lift. Operate and maintain shredding, screw conveying, and other related equipment. Understand all regulatory requirements including inspection forms, burning parameters, and safety regulations. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills Ability to read, follow routine work procedures, and maintain accurate records. Posses’ mechanical ability to be able to perform trouble shooting, repair and maintenance of plant equipment and machinery. Ability to climb without fear of heights. Ability to lift/handle a minimum of 50 pounds. Ability to operate all mobile equipment such as bobcat, forklift, loaders, Scissor lift and Man lift. Demonstrate the ability to safely use all hand and power tools. Must be able to wear proper PPE (personal protective equipment). Must successfully complete all RCRA and MSHA required training. Will comply with employment, personnel and safety rules and regulations as defined by the company. Passing of fit test and ability to wear full-face respirator.
