Professional Development and Growth Your Role:

As a Grapple Truck Helper, you will be responsible for operating the grapple mechanism, which is designed to lift and load bulky items such as tree branches, construction debris, and large household waste onto the truck. This requires not only physical strength and stamina but also a keen eye for detail to ensure that all waste is collected thoroughly. Assist truck driver navigate routes and ensure safe operation, including guiding during backing up and maneuvering in tight spaces Operate the grapple mechanism to load large items such as tree limbs, construction debris, and bulky waste onto the truck Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team Communicate courteously with residents and businesses, addressing any questions or concerns regarding waste collection Perform basic checks on the truck and equipment, reporting any mechanical issues to supervisors

What We’re Looking For:

Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with the driver and other team members Ensure thorough collection of waste and adherence to scheduled routes Effective verbal communication for interacting with customers and team members Prior experience in waste management is a plus Shifts may vary, 40+ hours per week (overtime available) Must be able to safely lift and move 50lbs or more at a time Able to sit in trailer cab for extended periods of time
