Material Handler/Shipping Position Available In Pickens, South Carolina

Material Handler/Shipping Provenance Staffing Liberty, SC 29657 Provenance Recruitment & Staffing is currently hiring for 1st and 3rd shift material handlers in the Liberty, SC area. Experience is required. This is a direct hire position with benefits starting first day of the month after hire.

Job Summary:

The Material Handler in the Shipping Department picks and processes customers’ orders and distribution center accurately and on time.

Hours of Employment:

1st shift

• Monday-Friday 8:30am
• 5:00pm Possible overtime would be on Saturday 3rd shift
• 11:00pm
• 7:00am, Sunday
• Thursday Possible overtime would be on Friday $2.

50/hour shift differential

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for processing customers’ orders and filling distribution center.
• Organizes and prepares all orders as directed by the shipping supervisor.
• Operates a scanner to scan barcodes and delivers material to their locations. RF Scanner experience is preferred.
• Operate a forklift, Cherry picker, lift truck, side loaders, pallet trucks, and other loader and picking equipment.
• Responsible for daily inspections on forklift.
• On-spot checking.
• Maintain and organize the warehouse storage including pallet consolidation and cleanliness of aisles.
• Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe manner on compliance with all rules and regulations. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe conditions or practice to your supervisor.

Environmental Work:

A non-climate-controlled warehouse.

Required Skills/Abilities:

High School Diploma or GED Minimum 1 year experience of Material handling, warehouse and/or related field. Required Cherry Picker/ Sit-down, Stand-up Forklift experience. Frequently required to work at heights of 20 feet or more. and cherry picker/order picker

Other Skills:

• Basic knowledge of company products in terms of part numbers and product descriptions.
• Well-versed in Warehouse, shipping, and receiving functions.
• Shipping methods (FedEx, UPS, or freight truck).
• Proficiant in the warehouse management system.

Clothing requirements/ physical

Demands:

• Wearing appropriate safety clothes and shoes when needed. This includes a need for a safety harness, safety glasses, lift belt, steel toe shoes, etc.
• Being able to stand 90% of the time.
• Occasionally it will be expected to lift large materials not to exceed 75 pounds.
