Job Description:
The Role of the Hardware Associate is to install hardware to doors and create keys for special orders requiring additional matching keys or a master key. The candidate for this position is highly organized and can interpret, implement, and maintain pre-classified master key systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reading sales order sheets then pulling hardware from available stock and installing. Organizing and stocking shelves. Communicating to product manager when restock is needed. Accurately cutting new or duplicate keys and recording all key information. Maintaining a professional and clean working area. Additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Basic math and measurement skills. Basic computer skills. Finely tuned motor skills (hand and eye coordination). Ability to use power tools and hand tools. Excellent Attendance. Mechanical lock smith skills (preferred).
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for entire shift. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
