Warehouse Associate (1st shift) 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 1000 River Street, Essex Junction, VT 05452 We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team on our 1st shift (Mon-Fri 7am-3pm). The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by managing inventory, fulfilling orders, and maintaining a safe working environment. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Perform duties related to receiving and shipping merchandise, with respect to all product and materials incoming and/or outgoing. Understand, and follow, all safety instructions and practices Receive and distribute materials after first inspecting and determining the quantity and quality meets expectations. Make necessary verifications against required documentation. Safe operation of all material handling equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. Organize and prepare product for shipment according to the predetermined schedule as set by management. Work with Team Leads and Production Manager to ensure shipments are timely and exact. Communicate with others (on team, across shift changes, and to other departments) as instructed, for successful completion of assigned work. Assists with inventory control processes, to verify the accuracy of parts on hand. Ording needed supplies in a timely manner. Completes forms as required in accordance with purchase orders and/or packing slips/bills of lading. Verifies shipping documentation, organizes materials distribution and maintains shipping files. Maintains storage areas to keep neat, clean and organized. Keeps all production areas fully stocked with raw material and supplies, as needed Assists in the production area by: o Helping implement and maintain 5S compliance, which includes participation on 5S team. o Actively contributes to on-going housekeeping responsibilities by keeping work centers, and factory, clean, neat, and safe as a working environment. o Train and operator production equipment during downtime of warehouse duties. Support process improvement efforts, as follows: o Participate as required on process improvement teams and initiatives that directly impact work processes, environment, and quality of product o Contribute ideas toward improving processes (output and quality, 6S) and/or lowering costs
