The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient handling of freight within our warehouse environment. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving processes, as well as the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment safely. Duties Safely operate forklifts, cranes, and other heavy equipment to move freight within the warehouse. Load and unload shipments, ensuring accurate placement and organization of products. Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage shipping and receiving tasks. Conduct inspections of incoming and outgoing shipments for quality assurance. Use RF scanners to accurately record inventory movements and maintain up-to-date records. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols. Assist in order picking processes, ensuring timely preparation for shipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with OSHA standards. Requirements Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred. Proficiency in operating forklifts, cranes, and other heavy equipment is a plus. Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanners is beneficial. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety guidelines consistently. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Physical stamina to handle lifting, standing, and moving throughout the shift. Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes is advantageous.
