Fiberglass / Composites Products Finisher / Laborer C&M Marine Products 131 Atherton Avenue NW, Lake Placid, FL 33852 CM Marine is a leading manufacturer of marine and composite products: dock boxes, consoles, leaning posts, livewells and more. Our products are on the water from Alaska to Aruba. We are looking for dependable, quality-focused people who want to build great product. The work can be hot and dusty but we have a great crew and build some of the best products in the industry. This would be a great job for an auto body tech or carpenter looking to break into the marine industry. Pay is dependent on experience and output. That said, we have people who’ve come in with zero experience who’ve done well and are making $20+/hour after a few months.
Responsibilities Finish parts:
sand, buff, gelcoat, and perform repairs as needed Trim Parts using router and diamond blade Assemble product to specifications using templates, measurements, and spec sheets Install hardware such as hinges, latches, rod holders, gas springs, etc. Check parts for defects and repair minor defects Use finishing and assembly tools: buffers, routers, drills, belt sanders Requirements
- Previous experience with fiberglass, auto body, furniture repair and finishing preferred
- Good eye for quality and understanding of quality control principles
- Attention to detail and an eye for quality
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Able to work while bending, squatting, reaching
- Able to pull and push without restrictions
- Able to lift 50+ lbs Able to grip air tools Must have a valid drivers license and be able to pass a drug screen.
