Delivery Driver/Driver Helper General Wholesale Company-Augusta GA 537 Laney Walker Blvd Extension, Augusta, GA 30901 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Delivery Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the delivery of goods to various locations, ensuring that products are loaded, unloaded, and transported safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivery operations and customer service and be comfortable with heavy lifting and manual labor. Responsibilities Assist drivers with unloading delivery trucks. Ensure that all packages are secured properly for transport. Help navigate delivery routes efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Handle items with care during loading and unloading to prevent damage. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse and delivery areas. Deliver a variety of product to customers in a friendly and timely manner Merchandise all products in designated areas per customer requests Communicates with office personnel to resolve customer complaints Completion of all driver paperwork to include invoices, errors, and damages Follow DOT regulations and safety standards Experience Previous experience in a delivery environment is required. Familiarity with box truck operations and route driving is a requirement. Experience with heavy lifting and moving items safely is essential. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and follow instructions effectively.
