Job Summary:

Seeking reliable, motivated Drivers and Material Handlers for a stable career with DVM! Our Material Handlers expertly handle product receiving, storage, picking, and packaging. Our Drivers are vital, ensuring efficient and timely material movement between our Pennsylvania facilities and vendors. Join our dynamic team! Incumbents should have a clean driving record and be able to drive a box truck with air brakes between our PA production facilities (CDL license not required) Job Status (FLSA):

Full-Time, Non-Exempt Location:

Assigned DVM manufacturing facility.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

The following list of responsibilities is not all inclusive, additional projects and/or tasks may be assigned to meet operational needs. DVM retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position should operational needs warrant.

Internal Material Handling:

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, reach trucks) to move, stack, load, and unload materials, components, and finished goods within the manufacturing plant and warehouse. Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently and safely. Transport materials to and from production lines, storage areas, and shipping/receiving docks. Ensure accurate placement and organization of products in storage locations. Perform routine inventory counts and update records as necessary. External Transportation Operate company vehicles, primarily (but not limited to) box trucks, to transport materials between company facilities and vendors. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, documenting and reporting any mechanical or safety issues. Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations and company safety protocols. Maintain accurate delivery records, including time logs, mileage reports, and bills of lading. Assist with loading and unloading goods at delivery points, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Communicate effectively with logistics support, and internal teams regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.

Safety & Maintenance:

Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA requirements at all times. Ensure loads are secured properly before transportation. Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment, including vehicles and material handling equipment. Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or incidents to the supervisor immediately. Perform minor routine maintenance tasks on vehicles and equipment (e.g., checking fluid levels, tire pressure).

General Duties:

Collaborate with production, warehouse, and shipping teams to ensure smooth workflow. Complete and maintain accurate logs and records of material movements and deliveries. Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.3+ years of previous Inventory experience operating box trucks, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Valid driver’s license. Class B required. Other desirable certifications (must be willing to undergo training provided by DVM if certifications not already held):

OSHA10 CPR

Forklift experience and/or certification Satisfactory completion of additional background screening.

Physical Requirements :

Typical of a Manufacturing/Warehouse floor. May be cold in winter, warm in summer. Noise level commensurate with machine operation, fork trucks, general industrial activity. Possess basic tools including gear wrenches, impact gun, torque wrenches, metric & standard sockets. Prolonged periods of standing, squatting, kneeling may be necessary. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50lbs. Must be able to read, understand basic schematic/ blueprint. Must be able to communicate effectively using phones or computer software. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the assigned facilities. Must be able to travel between DVM locations as needed, some travel could require overnight stays.
