Seasonal Labor Position Available In Richland, Louisiana

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Support Scale Room activities ensuring proper weight paperwork on truck scales, probing and taking samples, and delivering samples to the appropriate destinationLoading/unloading trucks, using appropriate tools to open doors and allow grain to transferredIf certified, safely use equipment like front-end loaders to transfer and pile grainPerform general maintenance and upkeep on equipment, including climbing ladders to reach storage binsMonitoring grain inventory levels, checking moisture content, and checking for foreign materialsComplying with all safety and environmental regulationsMaintaining a clean and safe work environment by keeping the facilities, grounds, and elevator clean and free from debris. This will include sweeping, using shovels, wheel barrows, rakes, etc.

Assist Supervisors and other personnel when requestedLearn to operate other equipment as required

LOCATION

These positions will at our Hwy 15 location or 14 Venable Road, both located in Rayville, LARequirements

• Ability and capacity to climb and work to 150 feet as needed
• Ability to put on safety harness and use both feet/legs with 100% functionality outside of normal working areas
• Ability and capacity to lift, pick up, and move heavy loads
• Be able to work on top of loose grain rice within bins and warehouses
• Ability and capacity to climb in and out of hopper bottom grain trailers
• Capacity to continuously throughout the shift to push, pull, twist, bend, stoop, squat, walk on mostly uneven, unlevel ground of various surfaces
• Ability and capacity to work outside for prolonged periods in all seasons/weather environments
• Able to wear rubber boots and walk in muddy conditions
• Able and willing to work as scheduled.

During peak seasons, the schedule is 10-14 hours daily, 5-7 days per week.
