Louisiana St, Covington, LA 70435 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the delivery of goods to various locations, ensuring that products are loaded, unloaded, and delivered safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on customer service and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. Duties Assist the driver in loading and unloading delivery vehicles. Ensure that all items are securely packed and organized for transport. Help navigate delivery routes and provide support during route driving. Maintain a high level of customer service while interacting with clients during deliveries. Operate hand trucks or other equipment as necessary for loading and unloading tasks. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely, adhering to proper lifting techniques. Communicate effectively with the driver and other team members to ensure timely deliveries. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while on the job. Qualifications Previous experience in a delivery or courier role is preferred but not required. Familiarity with commercial driving practices is a plus. Ability to operate forklifts and other loading equipment is desirable. Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. Experience with route driving is beneficial. Must be able to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift. Valid driver’s license; experience driving vans or similar vehicles is preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
