Barron Center:
- The Barron Center is a 219-bed long-term care skilled nursing facilityowned and operated by the City of Portland.

The Laundry department helps to ensure a clean and hygienic environmentfor our residents by washing, drying, folding and distributing laundrythroughout the facility. Our Laundry team takes care of residentspersonal laundry as well as linens for other City of Portlandfacilities.

Duties may include distributing clean linen within the facility, rubbishremoval, loading and unloading commercial washers and dryers; foldingand sorting linen; picking up soiled linen and hanging and deliveringpersonal laundry.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- This position is part of our winter operations team, and snow removalduties are required seasonally.
Excellent customer service skills are required.
Delivery and pickup of linens for other City of Portland facilities.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Ability to lift objects weighing over 50 lbs. for an extended period oftimeAbility to work in varied temperature conditionsMust possess a valid Maine drivers licenseMust be able to follow oral and simple written instructions

Expected Hours/Schedule:
- Permanent, full-time position, 40 hours per week, Sunday
- Wednesday,4:00 AM
- 2:30 PM.

Salary & Benefits:
- This is a union position, Labor & Trades Grade 11, starting pay range$19.76
- $20.
66 per hour.
This position is eligible for a weekend differential of $0.60 per hourfor all hours worked.
