Our rail team works together to productively meet deadlines and solve problems, while adhering to workplace guidelines and safety protocol. You will be working with a collaborative team to move and stage vehicles in the railyard, drive cars off bi- and tri-level rail cars, and secure the vehicles to restrict movement in the rail car. If you thrive off the high of a ‘good day’s work’ and are comfortable working year-round in an outdoor work environment, this is the position for you! Responsibilities Relocating new vehicles from the railyard to specific storage lots located at the terminal. Driving and handling all vehicles responsibly to ensure damage prevention, protecting Company property at all times. Perform duties to prepare railcars for shipment such as opening and closing railcar doors, setting bridge plates, chocking and de-chocking vehicles. Using a keen eye, take a high-level overlook of the vehicle to observe for any scratches, dents, scuffs, or otherwise problematic blemishes to the body of the vehicle. Assess and record any anomalies viewed, grading these against a standard scale. Must be able to follow directions. Must adhere to safety procedures and rules.
