Hackney is one of the largest wholesale grocery distribution companies in the country with a distribution network of over 20,000 customers in 22 states. The Newton NC Division is seeking to hire driver helpers. Driver Helpers assist Class A Drivers on deliveries Unload freight, ensuring proper handling of materials / ramp / handtrucks Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel use, and any incidents. Assist Class A Drivers Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status. Skills Proficiency in unloading of freight. Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety protocols. Familiarity with freight handling procedures and equipment such as forklifts. Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
