Furniture Home Delivery Driver/Helper Piedmont Logistics and Freight LLC Durham, NC 27704 Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver or helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent navigation skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service. The Delivery Driver will operate a 26ft box truck, and may be required to perform heavy lifting as part of the delivery process. The helper will ride along with the driver and assist with the delivery process. •Furniture delivery experience preferred but not required.•Willing to train the right person! Routes are local Work schedule:

Tuesday-Saturday, 6am-until route is complete Off Mondays Responsibilities Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and box trucks, to transport goods to designated locations. Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling of items to prevent damage during transit. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise. Deliver furniture to residential and commercial companies. We provide “white-glove” delivery services. Qualifications This position is available for Driver and/or Helper roles. With this being a “white-glove” delivery service, ideal candidates would have basic knowledge of hand/power tools, as tools are used to assemble most furniture. Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards is essential. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and moving items during deliveries. Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps or use GPS systems effectively. Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience preferred but not mandatory. Driver musst be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen.
