Excavation Operator – Utilities MAC Construction & Services, LLC Portsmouth, NH MAC Construction & Services LLC seeks an experienced Excavation Operator to join our growing company, which specializes in excavation and sewer and water utility installation. Excavation Operator – Utility We are seeking a qualified and dependable individual to join our expanding company as an Excavator Operator. In this role, you will be responsible for participating in various excavation projects. You will be required to operate a wide range of tools and equipment and work outdoors in diverse weather conditions. Worker Duties and Responsibilities Operators are responsible for trenching for and around utilities (Experience Required) Safely operate heavy equipment – excavators, track loaders, dozers and back hoes Prepare at the work site each day by preparing materials, tools, and equipment Complete previous projects or receive new project instructions from manager Follow instructions and use tools and equipment to complete daily tasks Follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment Ensure regulated and proper headgear, ear plugs, gloves, safety glasses and clothing are worn Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner Reading plans and specifications, and setting up grade for excavation and grading work (Experience Preferred) Train on experienced tasks and learn new tasks from coworkers Ensure construction equipment and attachments are maintained daily, organized, stored properly, and clean. Operators may help assist with snowplowing in winter months to get overtime although this is not required. Worker Requirements and Qualifications Extensive experience of trenching for & around utilities: 5-10 years (Experience Required) Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds Able to work independently or as an active member of a team Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check and drug screening The company provides competitive pay rates, opportunities for career advancement, and a supportive work environment.
