Part-Time Laborer Position Available In Rockingham, New Hampshire

Part-Time Laborer Town of Derry, NH Derry, NH 03038 The Town of Derry is in search of a part-time Laborer for our Public Works, Transfer Station Division.

Duties:

The Transfer Station Laborer is responsible for customer service and physical labor in the operation, care and upkeep of the Town Transfer Station. Duties include, but are not limited to, verifying permits, directing citizens to disposal bins, and advising of recycling practices; sorting and separating disposed items into proper groups for recycling or other disposal; loading containers; and working with community service individuals to provide direction on Transfer Station procedures. Additional essential functions include cutting tree limbs, trimming shrubs, mowing lawns, and raking leaves; and assisting with plumbing, carpentry, or electrical work and automotive repair such as carrying tools, carrying, or lifting lumber, mixing or stirring concrete, running miscellaneous errands and replacing minor parts. Removing snow and ice and assisting in spreading sand and chemicals for control of snow and ice, is also required.

Requirements:

A high school diploma, or equivalent. Three months of related experience in heavy manual labor. Skilled in the operation and maintenance of equipment utilized in performing job duties. A valid Driver’s License.
