Freight Handler The Freight Handler is responsible for preparing and packing customer orders in a B2B fulfillment warehouse. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and adherence to company standards to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Unload finished goods from packing lines, stack boxes on shipping pallets according to company standards and safety guidelines. Ensure pallets are stacked securely and meet quality standards for weight distribution and stability. Organize items for efficient stacking and wrapping. Use a wireless scanner to scan item barcodes into the computer system and verify that scanned information matches system records. Safely and efficiently shrink-wrap completed pallets to prepare them for transportation. Load pallets onto trucks according to shipping schedules and delivery specifications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Efficiently manage time to meet daily processing demand. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications/Skills:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred 1 year of previous warehouse experience preferred Ability to operate an RF scanner Basic reading and math skills Ability to handle multiple tasks Ability to stand of long periods Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50lbs Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to safe working environment
