Blossman Gas desires eager, mechanically-inclined applicantsseeking a part-time or full-time opportunity to apply for theposition of Service Installer/Service Helper (laborer) at ourwinning Sylva, NC location. With more than 80 branch locations in11 states, Blossman Gas is the largest independent propane companyin America. Due to our company’s culture, these positionsexperience little turnover for those who want to work locally andfor an established company. Our Service Helper / Installers areprofessionals seeking to grow their mechanical skills whilelearning a trade. This physically intensive position includesregularly helping our team install propane storage tanks forresidential and commercial customers, as well as install gas pipingand new appliance installations of gas comfort equipment such aswater heaters, dryers, gas cooking, outdoor kitchens, and more.

This position will also help at the branch location with filling 20and 30 lb. propane tanks, cut grass, and do general upkeep asneeded. This is a great position for someone who has somemechanical aptitude and desires to work less than 30 hours per weeklocally or work full-time (M-F 8-5). Ongoing employee education isprovided. We provide the education and knowledge to expand asustainable, meaningful career path that includes potentialprogression to Apprentice level, Service Technician, SeniorTechnician, and Master Technician levels. The position requiresregular interaction with customers and being a contributing memberof a team environment. Working in all-weather conditions androutinely bending, lifting, and pulling objects weighing 50 lbs.without assistance are associated with this position. A strongcommitment to safety, consistent with company policy, is a must.

Pay will depend on prior experience. Bonus opportunities available.

A 401(k) option (over 21 yrs of age) is included for part-timeworkers. Full-time opportunity may be available with goodperformance.
